Ceftiofur Sodium:
Description:
White or dark yellow crystalline powder, odorless and readily absorbing moisture, freely soluble in water.
Quality specification:
Content: 85.0% min.
Melting point: 350⪚ C (decomposed)
Heavy metal: 20ppm
Max. loss on drying: 3.0% max.
p H value: between 5.5 and 5.7
Pharmacological action:
The product is a kind of third generation cephalosporin used especially in poultry
and cattle. It is a broad-spectrum kind of antibiotic and has strong antibiotic
activity which can kill G+, G- bacteria and some anaerobe. Ceftiofur sodium has
a stabilizing molecular structure, which cannot be easily destroyed by Beta-lactamase,
and therefore, its effect is permanent and it is not liable to be of no
effect on pathogenic bacteria.
Application:
It can be used to treat the chronic respiratory tract diseases and many concomitant
symptoms of many domestic animals, such as chicken, pig, horse, cattle, etc
Usage and dosage:
Intramuscular injection
Cow: 1.1-2.2mg
Horse: 2.2-4.4mg
Pig: 3-5mg/kg
b. w. chick: hypodermic injection 0.1mg
Grown-up poultry: intramuscular injection 1mg
Precaution:
The drug should be prohibited for the animals which are hypersensitive to cephalosporin
Be cautious when used for the livestock which liver function and renal function have decrescenced
Injection should not be prepared until use
Packing:
1,000g/drum, 5,000g/drum, 10,000g/drum
